This book is good for someone just starting out with their garden. The author touches on a little of everything. I liked that he had a chapter on aquaponics and permaculture, since I'm interested in both.He also talks about the edible landscape and what you can grow in it. I like the fact you can interchange ornamental plants for edible plants, like using apple trees for shade trees and blueberry bushes for shrubbery.
In short I would definitely recommend this book to anyone starting out on this journey sustainability.

This is a pretty good book. Very informative and thought provoking. This makes alot of sense. I highly recommend this. )
There is fairly good content here, but you have to be able to see past the editing problems. He's a bit over the top but maybe we need that.
Not as much info as I expected, and so very much of it was localized to the American southwest desert.
This is a good idea, and there's some decent info here, but the author clearly rushed this one.
I thought that this book was very good. I got a lot of great ideas to try out for the new growing season. I would definitely recommend this book for absolutely everyone. Everyone should have a victory garden or at least grow a little bit of your food.
Good, practical advice. Easy to follow and understand Give clear examples of which types of plants to use and how to use them best.
Not bad, some good info but in the section on diatomacious earth he says it only kills the bad bugs.
of course that's not true. How could it know bad bugs from good bugs?
DE does have some great uses but it will kill your bees and other good bugs
so use with care.
This may be a great guide to vegetable growing in clay soil and blazing summers. Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with survivalists or survivalism, because the first things you need are a motorized tiller, a ton of topsoil bought from the store, "biochar", and a sea mineral concentrate. In short, this is an organic victory garden (maybe), but it's highly dependent of your local garden shop and maybe online sources.
